You are never lost when you can see the temple. – Gary E. Stevenson
Our church views family relationships as eternal. Heavenly Father intends for our families to survive into the vast future that awaits us. We are stronger together; we can stand firm in the truths of the gospel, work together to be more like Christ, serve and uplift both neighbors and strangers, and share the love of our Savior. Our families can help us in this mortal life and that special bond we form has been gifted to us by our Heavenly Father. He means for that blessing to always be ours, if we will choose to accept it.
Part of accepting this gift is responding to the invitation to come to the temple and partake of sacred covenants and blessings that ultimately work to forge the links that will bind us for all eternity. It is in the temple that Heavenly Father teaches us and inspires us to be more than we are on our own. He endows us with His strength and His Spirit. The temple brings such assurance of God’s love for us and His hope for us. I always leave the temple with more optimism than I arrived with.
I am so blessed to be able to attend the temple and to have the opportunity to have received these blessings for myself. I continue to return to give that opportunity to others and to be filled with the peace that the Spirit of God and the Holy Temple provide.
